How It Happened
First Call — Uncertain & Exploratory
Charles reached out with no clear requirements, no brand direction, and no design in mind. He was running premium cybersecurity summits across North America and Europe — but his web presence didn't reflect any of that. He was nervous about handing a project this important to someone new. The call ended without a contract.
I Didn't Wait — I Got to Work
The day after the call I sent a detailed follow-up email breaking down exactly what I heard, what the problems were, and what a solution could look like. Then a follow-up text. Then — without being asked — I built a UI/UX prototype based entirely on what he described in that first meeting. No official requirements. No deposit. Just proof I was listening.
A Month Later — 'I Want to Hire You'
A month passed with no word. Then Charles called back. He'd been comparing agencies. He chose us. His exact problem: no idea what colors to use, what content to keep, or how to modernise without losing his brand equity. So we brought back the prototype — and built three complete, live-switchable design themes so he could feel each direction in full before committing to any of them.
Approved on First Review — Then We Built Everything
Charles saw the three themes live, picked his favourite, and approved. No redesign rounds. We moved straight into full integration — Luma API for live event sync, AI chatbot with trained knowledge base, YouTube API for the podcast library, Calendly for booking, Resend API for contact forms, all social channels wired up, admin dashboard protected behind authentication. Deployed on Vercel with GitHub auto-deploys. Done in under 4 weeks.
